Reasonable intercooler setup?

Ive heard that early 99 sd pipes bolt right on but mods are needed? what exactly is needed to mod those pipes?

e99 intake manifold and any 7.3 or 6.0 IC and pipes, boots and clamps. I don't think it's major 'mod' ing... more like fitting properly.

i belive the pipes just have to be cut in some spots and clamps used

E99 needs cut, l 99 need cut n weld, 6.0 won't fit
