97 f350 psd automatic help

When taking of from a stop sometimes it wont rev up past 1500 rpms or so then finally it will get enough rpms to spin the turbo. When it does this it sounds as though it is missing. If you are on a incline or starting a load it does it worse. It seems to help if you really ease into the throttle and build up the rpms slow. Could it be injectors or what. Any help i could get would be greatly appreciated. Also my fuel mileage has gotten worse

Check your fuel filter and pressure. Check for codes check your oil level

Regular maintenance first. Need to check fuel pressure and for boost/up pipe exhaust leaks.

Cps fuel pressure. Under valve cover wiring harness loose? Any miss at idle?

if you hold your hand to the exhaust it has a little flutter

It sounds like he's reading rpm's which would rule out the CPS, right?

It's running, it's not CPS right now.
What about all the other things we've asked? Checked them?

Am going to take valve covers off next week and look for a short. It had a new cps put on as a recall year or so back. hopefully I will find something. I have put on a new fuel pump a while back as well
