stalled. now starts and stalls

truck was idling while i was changing my girlfriends tire on the side of the road in the dark and my truck stalls.(its been a bad day for both of us) it fired back up and i got it off the road and shut it off. came back @30 min later and it fired right up. ran for a minute then stalled again. will only restart if you let it sit for a while and then it will only run for a minute then die.

called my friends step dad who is a tech who specializes in ford diesels. his suggestions were to check the computer for codes and watch the cam sensor as that is common. his next suggestion is to monitor the hpop pressure as he said low pressure can cause this too. (she just rolled over 366k the other day so thats a possibility)

so any other obvious things to check before i have to tow it to his shop?

Throw a CPS in it and go.

Thanks to your suggestion i didnt even look at the truck. ordered a new cps and threw it in the truck this morning. seems to be fixed. thanks!
