IC what can i expect to see?

ok guys, im kinda new to the diesel world and im learning as i go. i know that adding an inner cooler will help to lower EGT's but are there any other benifits that i will see from adding one? i am thinking this will be the next mod to go on to my truck.

my trucks vitals are:
97cc f 250HD pretty much everything is stock. i have a tans temp gauge, boost gauge, and egt gauge. i put in a 3 inch down pipe, i have a DIY air filter with an AEM filter on it. and my newest update is a BTS Trans i just finished installing this past weekend.
my future plans for the truck are up in the air right now but i know i want to be able to go tot he track and put in solid runs and maybe even try a little sled pulling. im thinking that 500hp is a good thing to shoot for and she be a good goal to work for right now.

My truck is stock, except for the intake, and exhaust. I see 700-800 degrees pulling some gnarly hills doing 60 in 5th with no load. I'm not sure how it would change with a load but I suspect it would heat up quick. None the less a very good mod.

yea, the exhaust temps will drop, but you will loose 3-5psi of boost. The boost loss is no big deal, I'd rather have cooler temps....
