powerstroke into an IDI truck

i was wondering if you guys knew if a 94-98 PSD (not sure of year) would go into a '89 F250 with a 7.3 IDI? i realize ill have to take the turbo, intercooler, computer and wiring into account, but what about the actual mounting, etc?

It will fit and will mount right in place of a 7.3 IDI. I have seen one in an earlier truck with a body lift, so it may need a little more clearance for the turbo.

sorry dont mean to hijack but is the block rods, crank, and all the engine internals the same on an idi as a powerstroke? Are the heads the same? what are the differences

I'm not totally sure, but some block upgrades were made and the heads are very different. I think compression was lowered in the PSD.

1988 Ford F350 (originally 2WD) with 1997 7.3 Turbo PSD, Dually 4WD drivetrain, 5 spd. Manual trans. 3" DP, 4" Exhaust.
