FRONT AXLE ?
96 F250, HOW CAN I TELL WHICH FRONT END IS UNDER MY TRUCK? FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND IT COULD BE A DANA OR SPICER? I DONT KNOW WHICH IS WHICH. NEED TO REPLACE HUBS AND NEED TO KNOW.

My 97 F350 has the Dana 60. If you look at the diff cover the word DANA will be stamped right in the center of the cover. At least it is on mine.

It will have a Dana. Dana 50 I think. Spicer is a product of Dana Corporation. It is a Dana-Spicer front end.

dana 50, which it probably is with IFS, will have "50" cast into the bottom of the pumpkin
|
|
|||
|
If it a solid front axle it will be a dana 60, if it has the split axle setup, it is a dana 50
|
