2003 motor in a 93??

hey guys i have a buddy with a 03 f250 and it has the 7.3 in it..
hes swapping that motor out for a built twin turbo setup and i was wondering if that motor will bolt to my trans in my 1993 7.3 IDI truck?

what else would be needed to make this sucker run ( wiring wise )

thanks

pull everything!!!

you'll need to fab up a way to slip in the intercooler and computer (93's don't have either one of those)
glow plugs wiring is different
pull the tranny out of the 03 and put into the 93. (the 6.4 has a different tranny anyway)

yes, you're tranny will bolt to his motor. however, his tranny probably won't bolt to any other engine without an adapter.

just thought of something right when i hit post, your tranny probably won't be able to handle to the power coming out of the 03 engine.

the 7.3 tranny will not bolt to a 6.0 without an adaptor plate of some kind. would be easier to have th 6.0 tranny

Why don't you try to find a direct injection 7.3 out of an OBS, it will be much easier to do the swap...
