Exhaust Sound

I love the sound of my 7.3 but i just wish it had a little bit more exhaust sound like the cummins does. So what would be a good way to get more exhaust sound out of 7.3? What exhaust system would be the best? and have good flow also

On my last rig I ran 3" turbo back straight pipe with 5" miter cut stacks, sounded awesome with my DIY intake. This time running 5" down pipe back and same stacks.

No I didn't mean to confuse you, down pipe back as in everything after it, 3" downpipe should be here Thursday tho, I'm hoping that running 5" from the base of the dp will give me a deeper tone than the 3-5" stacks, just 5 all the way. We will see tho.

Do you have an intake? Makes a world of difference, and stacks make it easier to hear when you punch it.

IMO the Cummins sounds like it's farting. I love hearing the whistle of the Powerstroke. Go with a 3" DP and 4" or 5" after that. 5" supposedly is a little deeper.

5 inch is definitely a bit deeper though 4 inch straight pipe with stack is pretty loud!

5" is deeper but you lose some of the whistle over the 4"
