99 V-10 Dually... 7.3 time?
So I have a bead on a 99 F-350. E99, ex cab, long bed, dually 4x4. 6spd manual. Truck has 150xxx miles on it, and the V-10 has long since been toasted and gone. I was thinking about possibly dropping the OBS 7.3 out of my truck in it...? Or should i just find and E99 SD 7.3? I know they switched to electronic fuel systems, which I would do regardless, and the split shot injectors, which I would go with single shot stage ones, regardless. My big questions i guess are what kind of problems would i have using the 6 spd tranny, and does anybody have any idea how the OBS motor would fit?
Just don't tell my girlfriend about this, she'll kill me! ![]()

I would find a diesel truck and be done with it, it will be much easier in the long run. Fyi, the 7.3 dually with the zf6 is a towing beast...put lots of miles down with an e99 exactly like the one you describe, only difference being crew cab.

Get motor mounts use your full harness, I'm not sure if the v10 tranny fits the 7.3 diesel, the 460 was atleast close in cubic inches and liters. Sounds cool tho, you could use the e99 spider and 7.3 pipes at that point right?

My main concern would be the bolt pattern difference...I at least know on the 6.0, the rear engine covers are different for the different trannys

You would think that his obs engine and tranny along with harnesses would fit, e4od and 4r100 are pretty.
