Trans filter

Hey guys i decided im gonna get a trans cooler next week and i wanted to get a trans filter too. Any suggestions on where to get one or should i build my own. Where would i get the parts to build my own if i go that route. Thanks for all the help guys

Build a trans cooler?
Ryan ronning used a military hummer spec trans cooler, and you could pull a larger one from a v10 or 6.0 good luck

I think he's referring to the filter setup. I'm sure there's articles out there somewhere on building your own. I just purchased mine from "Dieselsite". Not cheap, but I din't feel like parts chasing, etc. Cheers!

Yea i was talkin about the filter setup. I saw one on xdp for 220 but i didnt see one on dieselsite ill have to check again

Couldn't you just run some sort of in-line setup, like the fuel filter? Seems kinda steep for a trans filter

The one I have is an inline filter. It will bypass if the filter becomes restricted (you don't want an inline filter to become plugged and have no flow). Click on the link in my post above to see the Dieselsite setup. Cheers!
