just getting an idea.
right now i have a 95 dodge 2500 12valve cummins. im about to trade it for a 97 f350 with the 7.3 in it.
what are some benifits of having the stroke of a cummins? im looking for easy cheap mods, to make it the most powerful tow rig i can, weither it be chips, intake, fuel, ect. let me know what your thoughts are on it! |

That alone has kept me from cummins. :-)
I did trade my 01 7.3 in on a 2006 5.9 a few years back, cause I thought that's what I wanted. Within 2-3 months I regretted it.....and still one of my biggest regrets of my life. Which I suppose isn't too bad, if that is my worst regret. Lol. Doubt this helped any at all. |

well as you know the 12v has impressive cheap mods. for a 7.3, intake, exhaust, gauges and chip (custom tune) to start. thats cheap, next steps are injectors, hpop, re-tune the chip, etc.
the 7.3 seems to be more comfortable, the truck holds up better than the dodges. engine excluded. |

personally I'm a fan of strokers but I have no complaints on the cummins.... i just don't like the truck around them. The cummins will be a little cheaper to get power out of since it's not computer controlled and you'll also get better fuel mileage. With new injectors, intake, exhaust, and a chip you can get a good tow rig. Just make sure you have a clutch or tranny to back it up |

Yes. And I couldn't be happier. :-)
