Will i be satisfied with my truck?

Ok so i have a 1997 Ford F350 (171k) with TDP Tunes, Intake, Exhuast and Gauges and also jasper tranny 10k ago(previous owner). Has a good amount of power but my dads 6.0 6 speed will smoke me of course(banks IQ, exhuast, egr delete etc). I recenltly ran into some money (lady rear ended me and i got 1500$) and was thinking possibly stage 1 or 2 Rosewoods injector/hpop. Next question is what do i do with my tranny? Do i find a shot e4od and get it built then sell my jasper with only 10k? or do i leave the jasper in until it craps out? I would really like a 5/6 speed but that is a ton of work.

What i really want to no is with injectors and a tranny will i be happy with the truck? will it keep up with my dads 6.0? Also will i need head studs and IC for this set up?

intercooler probably wouldnt hurt, but you dont need it as i understand it. you wont need head studs, the 7.3s hold up a lot better than the 6.0s. with the injectors youd probably have around the same amount of power as your dads 6.0, so whether thats enough or not is your call. if you go with stage 2s youll probably need a bigger hpop and depending on egts of course, an intercooler

Just do the 2's hpop and ic setup with some custom tunes, you will never be satisfied because more power is better, mite wanna do some small things for starters tho like valve body and shift kit and stuff like that for your tranny tho

For bolt up performance...

Stage 1's and a T-500 HPOP, no ic needed just keep an eye on your EGTs. I tow with my truck quite a bit and i have never hit over 12k pulling my 6ton excavator up a pretty steep grade with my TW on heavy tow.

For non-bolt up performance...

Stage 2's, T-500 HPOP, IC, and probably electric fuel to get you enough PSI. I say non-bolt up because an IC on an OBS isn't a simple task. It will take either an E99 spyder with custom pipes or custom IC pipe kit, plus the IC.

With either setup you are gonna want to get your TW reburnt, which Tony does for free.

As far as the trans either a BTS VB or a shift kit will help along with bypassing the rad cooler and adding a 6.0 trans cooler or similar. From what i have heard though the internals on the Jasper's are complete junk so time will tell i guess.

FWIW another member has almost the exact setup that i am running and dyno'd 372 RWHP...

No, you will never be satisfied with your truck (unless the thought of working on it makes your skin crawl, then it's probably a toss-up)
