Ball Joint Replacement Help
So I'm getting ready to replace my ball joints and I'm calling around pricing them. I give them all the required info and they're all telling me that these standard joints wont work with a 4.10 axle for what ever dumb reason. Is this true or just them being idiots? If so, where do I go (Don't dare say stealership) to get the "right" joints. Also what is the difference in them for my axle?

They will work as long as you tell them the GVW of the truck is over 5,000#.
There is no difference in the Dana 50/60's other than the gear ratio's. The axles housings, axle shafts, hubs, brakes, lockouts, steering knuckles, etc are the same no matter which gear ratio you have |
