egt's

Well I'm in London right now for the truck nationals I was quite impressed with my egt's on the road trip here I was pulling a 24' enclosed loaded about 8000lbs I figured since I have gauges lets see what tune I can pull in and not run hot..

this was on the performance setting, at least I know I cant tow with it now with gauges. boost 10.5 psi and egt 900 about 71-72mph @2100



I peeked it @ 1200 degrees bringing it to red line on each gear getting on the highway but then I defueled the check engine light came on and I saw 26-27 psi... after driving for a bit the check engine light went out on its own...

1999 F250 XLT 2WD 7.3, 6 spd, South Bend Con OFE, Detroit Truetrac, Tony Wildman tunes, Autometer Boost&Pyro, AFE Stage II, 4" MBRP Exhaust, 2" Daystars, 17x9 DC1 wheels wrapped in 33x12.50 MTZ's

is that your chip that defueled or the map sensor detecting too much boost?

that looks like a big arse tire... ????

I have never had it defuel with the superchips ever, I unhooked the waste gate and plugged the red hose off and am hitting 26 + psi and defueling now


that tire is on my friends 56 mercury truck its the new 33x22R15 Mickey Thompson radial.. I just snapped a pic to send to another friend who wanted to see what they look like
