Cruise Control

Howdy all!... I have a 97' F-350 4X4 My cruise went out the other day I checked the switches in the wheel and they are good. Now Im ready to go under the hood but have no place to start looking. Any ideas

Is your truck manual or auto? if manual check the clutch pedal switch. Have had that go out before causing cruise to not work.

It's an auto and the fuse is good too.... Friend of mine told me to check the throttle cable but it's electronic...LOL

the most common cause of cruise to not work is the cruise deactivation switch mounted on the master cylinder

A new break pressure switch should run you about 28 bucks. I replaced mine about 2 months ago.

Is that the red sensor on the front of the master cylinder??... I took the wires off of it today and checked for continuity and got nothing so Im thinking the switch is bad...
