Cab swap help.

I currently have a 97 f250 ecsb 7.3. It has major rust mods and would like a new cab. Found a good deal on a 94 f250 excab. That truck has a 460 in it. Are there any issues with year and motor differences in swapping them? Also is it hard to swap gauge cluster and all so i can keep my diesel gauges and stuff. What do u do about the VIn as well?

Thanks guys!

Vin is easy just re rivit it to the cab, The cab is the same just make sure you swap all the wiring from the 97 to the 94. They kept everything the same from 92-97( 97 heavy duty diesel ONLY) You may have to remove the windshield to make it look like the vin tag wasn't tampered with

I appreciate the quick response. Mine is a 97 heavy duty. Does that mean anything like it won't work?
