Unhappy vacuum brake install problems on 93 7.3 PS ???

i hope this is the right area to post this question ...if not i'm sure someone will blast me for it ...as i'm pulling my hair on this one .. thought it would be easy

i have a 1993 f450 super duty with 7.3 in it and just got a heck of a deal on a 16 ft trail king tandem axle trailer with vacumm over hydraulic brakes ... and NOW i'll be damned if i can figure out how to install the controller in the truck the controller needs to be installed in engine compartment and connect to the vaccum ...where heck is it .....

i talked to a guy that had a dodge cummins diesel and said it had enuf vaccum to operate a similar system ... don't let that dodge show us up that would be embarrassing eh

If Ur 7.3 is a powerstroke then your vacuum pump is towards the top on drivers side front, has big disk looking thing on it and has small h9se coming from it, but you said its a 93 so I'm assuming its an IDI motor, but good luck and this also belongs in the non powerstroke section a little farther down

93 would be an IDI, not a powerstroke, wrong forum.

And non-turbo, so a conventional throttle and it produces engine vacuum, right?

My WAG would be to tee into the truck's brake booster line.

No throttle on an idi either. It has a vacuum pump, just not sure where it is on an IDI, Follow the hose from the brake booster, to the pump.
