7.3 engine codes
heres the problem...... I set a code (ICP) after hard acceleration last week. Real bad idle, until I cleared the code. I noticed someting isnt exactly right, so I hooked up my scan tool again...when it attempts to communicate, the truck starts missing (damn near dies) and the wait to start light comes on for a few seconds, then it clears up, and I can read/clear codes.....this irratic idle onluy last 3-5 seconds....any ideas?

Your using an incompatible scanner. Mine does the same thing to my truck but still pulls codes.
