Salvage Yard Stuff to Get

I will be heading to my local pick & pull salvage yard tomorrow and this weekend it is all 1/2 price are they any specific parts that I should be hunting for that would be handy to have for $5-$15?

I was thinking like trim piece, chrome pieces, vent frame/glass, power steering pumps, radiators, possible leaf springs, maybe steering column. I am not sure there will be any diesels otherwise I would add injectors and turbo to this list thus far. Any other suggestions would be great.

Interior/dash parts. Seat belt buckles. Cluster/gauges. Headlights/taillights. Grille if you find a good one. Hub caps/rings. Mirrors? Pedal box.

Diesel-specific: Go-pedal assembly. Engine accessories (alt, vac pump, tensioner). Turbo goodies (esp intake hoses if intact). "Darth Vader" engine cover. Radiator? Degas bottle. Block heater (or cord). If you can cut metal, rad core support. PCM / IDM. OH - positive battery cable. Starter, esp. if there's a Sooper DooDoo there.

got 4x4? If you do try and find a 4x4 shift kit. Make sure it's the white aluminum one. They crack all the time and nice to have one. Took two hours of phone calls to even find one used.

I went today and there were no diesel's but I was able to grab the front windshield chrome pieces, the locking mechanism and some various nuts bolts etc.

They did have a bunch of 4x4's so when I go tomorrow I will have to grab one of those shift kits.

Is it worth it to pull a steering column and a power steering pump? Also are the ford van's compatible with the f-series trucks?

Any small body parts are great to have like head and tail lights. If you're like me you'll smash your tail light on a Sunday when you can't get to a yard.

Drivetrain will swap between f and e series. Most body and interior parts won't match up.

I got some EB Bronco Deluxe sun visors for my truck today. I might head back next weekend and get the center overhead console.
