Injector pitting pictures

First time pulling injectors on 1994.5...
Surprised to see this pitting on the fuel portion of good injector.
The lower o-ring land has some light scaring or deposits.
Should i attempt to clean this up with emery paper?
Or leave it alone?
Advice please

What would have cause that pitting? Water in the fuel supply?
