Block Heater wattage
Is the stock block heater 750 or 1000 watts?
Looks like the heater is similar to / or is a Kim Hotstart Hotstart lists 2 heaters;TF752-002, 750 watt or DD8L-102, 1000 watt. The 'F' in the part number suggests that is a Ford specific part. T444E lists only the 1000 watt heater |

Block heater is 720 watts.
Got electrician neighbor to put his clamp on ammeter on block heater... It pulls 5.8 amps, at the end of 25 foot extension cord. |

I was told by the Ford tech hotline that it was 1000 watts and that it should draw about 8 amps.
