There are a couple ways to skin this cat. The easiest way is to just unplug the wiring harness from the dinger box. Takes all of 5 seconds once you find the dinger module. This will stop any and all dinging obviously.
If you'd like to have the ding still work if you leave the headlights on there is another option that's pretty easy. The pics I took are with the upper plastic cover on the steering column removed but you can get it done by just removing the screws holding the 2 plastic covers together and pulling the lower one down a bit.


Here's the offending wire in its original location.


A light tug on the plastic connector and it pops right off.


Tape it up. If you wanted you could snip the contact or the whole plug off.


Tuck it in.

Tada, you're done.
