I have a 97 F250, It was made in June of 97 and I was wondering if it was considered the old or new body style. Also this one may be a little bit more difficult, is there major differences between the 96 and 97 model Ive been lookking all over for a suspension lift but can only find one for a 92-96, so I have to move down to a body lift. So any suggestions for a kit?

In 97 Ford made 2 types of f250. The obs looks like the 96 and the other looks like new style. Sounds like you have the new body simply because on the 97 obs parts from the 96 fit. The reason I know is I have a 97 obs and have gotten the wrong parts a couple times so to stop the confusion I get parts for a 96. Sounds like you have a good truck either way.

Is there any difference in look? I looked at both and there seems to be no difference.

there is a light and heavy version, the light will look like the 97 F150s and the heavy will look like the 96 OBS trucks...i have a 97 as well (8800 GVW) and just order parts for 96 trucks
