swap 10.25 for 10.5 axle??

ok guys so i was driveing my 96 f250 the other day and all the sudden my rmps and speddo maxed out and i wasnt moving. pulled over to try reverse and drive still wouldnt move just revd up. i left it in gear and got out and the drive shaft was spinning and i wasnt moving. took rear diff cover off and everything was fine. so i pullover the axle shafts out and one was broke. wheel bearings and everything on that side were bad too the shaft dented up the axle tube so it is no longer usable. so my ? is can i put a 10.5 rear axle under a OBS? if not does anyone have a 10.25 for sale with 3.73 or 3.55 gears?

thanks guys
