E40 Upgrades

Has anyone ever heard, seen or know if it is possible to swap or rebuild an e40 into a 5 or 6 speed auto. I know tons of people do manuals but I'd like to save the shifting for fast cars

No

I think what you are wanting is to swap a E4OD with a 5R100. I dont think it is possible due to soo much of a wiring difference between the two. Well.....anything is possible if you want it that bad, but I dont think anyone has done it

The E4OD is a four speed, hence the "4" in the name. You may think it is a 5 speed with the TC locking and unlocking.
