upgraded battery mains

I have 200k mile old battery mains. the terminals are gettting crappy and worn out and need replacing. the cables are also pretty corroded.

anybody know what size the mains are? ill be replacing both grounds, the starter main and the cable that connects the two batteries

also i have what looks like a large relay bolted to the pass fender...whats that for?

I will also probably freshen up the alternator charging cable since im in there.

if anybody has done this please give me what info you can before i start.

thanks

I am pretty sure the batter cable is 2/0, at least that is what size connectors I put on my 97. They were a tight fit and took one hell of a crimper tool. It looked like a set of bolt cutters lol
