Weird Throttle Surge Issue.
The last few months my pickup has been having a weird throttle issue.
It started off only doing it when it was cold, and has gotten to the point that it does it constantly, and at all speeds and RPM ranges. Ill have a steady foot on the throttle and it will drop significantly, like 3-400RPMS or jump the same amount. Not only is this dangerous, its just freakin annoying. I have read that there is a sensor in the pedal, not a throttle position sensor like a gas has but a pedal position sensor? Its throwing no CEL and no codes. Any ideas? |

My truck was doing the same thing a month or so before the fuel bowl heater shorted out. Try disconnecting the fuel bowl heater at the fuel bowl and see if that changes anything.

Update: Replaced ICP sensor, and ICP sensor Connector, helped for about a day, but it still does it intermittently.
Check pedal position sensor next? I just realized this is in the wrong area, feel free to move this to the problems forum. |
