What parts to Build a transmission?

I recently picked up a E40d for 200 bucks that i want to rebuild. Im curious what are the best parts to rebuild this thing. I want to take care of every problem, and i want a bulletproof trannie that wont have to come out in 75k miles.

Ive heard John Woods and Suncoast have good rebuild kits?

This pickup will never get over 400HP. I use it frequently for towing but mostly just everyday driving. It has exhaust, DIY intake, banks turbo, banks ottomind chip, banks intercooler setup, banks exhaust brake, BD stage one injectors. It also has all the banks powerpack stuff like the transcommand and the TC lockup controller and brake controller under the dash.

I dont have money for a BTS, i want to rebuild it myself.

Any advice on rebuild kits and Torque converter brands??

Thanks-Kip

i think CT Perfomance or someone here has the Precision Industries 6.0 converter for the e4od. i think you may hav eto modify the pump though??? might shoot him a message. iirc its not expensive comparativly.

i know little about internals, but JW and BTS vb's are popular as well, and i have heard good about borg warner clutches...

EDIT: lol, i see CT posted!
