hi-steer kit... purpose/necessity?
Im doing all my research on lift kits for my 96 F350 and have ran into the hi-steer kit a few times, and im not 100% on what it does and if i need it. Im looking at using a RSK with a 4.5" lift, superduty springs and add a leaf in the back with blocks, using recentered H1 Beadlocks and 37" radial Goodyear Baja's. with that setup, do i need a hi-steer kit on a truck that will see use on the weekend boat-trips to the lake and regular street use (it will be a part time DD, split between my SS camaro). thanks for the help!

no it is not necessary. I have no problems without hi steer on my 92 350 with 3.5 rsk and 6in springs.

If you are using a 5" or taller spring you need a Hi Steer.
Fordman, Ill guarantee you that with a hi steer you will see a HUGE improvement in steering |

so this is something i can add later if i feel its needed... not necessarily a must have when i install the lift.
