'97 running ruff

My '97 started loosing power and died, I replaced the fuel filter, got it going and went about 2 miles and it died again. Same thing, get it going again and it runs fine for awhile and then wants to kill again. The fuel filter light comes on sometimes. I just replaced the glow plug relay and fuel heater. Is this a pump issue?

Thanks for the reminder, I changed the CPS a couple years ago. Probably a good place to start.

Is the bottom of the fuel bowl a filth pit? Bad things happen down there if left unattended by previous owners.

Put in new CPS and checked fuel bowl. Still the same. Would the pump be bad? It will idle and drive about 2 miles and dies again.
