New exhaust!!

So I just got my exhaust in, 4'' system with 3" downpipe Im going to install it next monday, any suprises I should expect? I looked at the installation instructions and it recomends to cut the stock downpipe in half to get it out...kind of want to avoid this

i just ordered my exhaust today and cant wait til it comes in. on my truck the p/o already installed the down pipe and they had to do bend the firewall in.they probly used a porta power, sorry cant help you about takin it out

If u don't cut it want come out. A small sissorjack can help to stretch the opening. Make sure u cut the pinch seam on the body makes it give alot easier. Don't forget to heat wrap the dp. That's pretty much it. The dp install is a pain in the a$$.

Mine was easy. The downpipe was already replaced on mine. So the pinch weld was already bent.

1997stroke, how do you like the diamond eye exhaust? What I got is the same set up...heard some good things about it.

just last week installed 3 in down pipe 8ft 3 in stright pipe to the factory three and a half in over the axle and out behind the rear wheel pipe the pipe was free the mig and a lift were avaliable the 3 in down pipe did run a littlt better than 90 bucks my question is will the 3 " with no kinks are bends flow well enough to utilize an eadge eveolition programer in tow mode dont have egt geage 96 f250 sc 4x4 auto 7.3 powerstroke first time user pappy7.3

not sure how to reply new at this maby it wont show twice on thie tread i came on 8 ft 0f 3' id exhaust pipe i hade just ordered 3 ' down pipe about 90 bucks the pipe was free had axcess to mig and lift installed the down pipe and 8 ft pipe stright back to where i cut the factory pipe just before it crossed over the axle helped the truck quit a bit my question is will the restriction be to much to run an eadge eveloution with tow mod 96 f250 sc auto 4x4 thanks pappy7.3

when i did my 3" mbrp down pipe i had to cut the stock down pipe twice to get it out and then use a porta power to stretch the opening...it was a PITA but once the DP is in the rest goes really easy
