Did my PCM just die? HELP truck wont start

Heres what I did. I have and edge evo on my 2000 powerstroke. Packaging says the evo works on 94-2002. I returned my 2000 back to stock, and plugged into my 97. Downloaded tunes, and then truck wouldnt start, just cranks. Threw a CPS code so I put a new unit in, still no start. Checked fuses, number 18 was blown. Replaced, hooked up tuner to set back to stock, now it cant access the pcm, says there is a connection error. Im stumped please help.

How do I check that? Also I just read that since the evo was on my 2000 it may not be able to properly program my 97. The post I read said that even I return to stock settings it will be from my 2000, is that right? Could I just get the pcm reflashed at a dealer?

Will do that right now. Boy did I not get sleep fretting over this. Ugh. Diesels are fun when they work, but when they dont what a pain.

Anything can interupt the programming when you do this, I am guessing it erased your computer and failed to load the new programming

Fixed. Plugged in the Edge stock program that was overnited by Edge, and its all up and running. It runs better than before, got a ton more power back. Thanks all.
