e4od to zf5 swap help!!

the e4od in my 96 f-350 is really hurtin from all the recent towing i hvae been putting it through. my buddy down the road offered me a donor truck for a zf5 swap it is a 92 f-350 with a 460 he is even offering it to me for free!!. now my question is would i still be able to do the complete swap even with using the gasser truck as a donor. my biggest concern is are the gear ratios in the zf5's different between diesel and gas? i have many more questions but these are the biggest to so please help!

not for sure but i think the bell housing is different on a 460. not positive on that though. other than that it would work but u will need to find a computer from a stroke that has a 5 speed in it. and another potental issue would be drive shafts as a 5 speed trans is slightly longer than a auto.

They dont come off. You need diesel ZF5, clutch, flywheel, manual trans PCM, manual trans wiring harness, pedals, floorpan, manual trans driveshafts(or have them made), clutch reservoir, and possibly brake booster
