Leaf spring question. Would like any and all input.

Good Morning,

I have a quick question here.

Are the front and rear leaf springs on a 1996 Ford F350 1ton 4x4, SRW with a 460 Gas engine the same as a 1997 Ford F350 1ton 4x4 SRW PSD? What is the weight difference between the 460 big block and the 7.3 PSD motor?

Will the factory 460 front springs be able to support the PSD motor?

I currently have a 6 inch Skyjacker lift on my 1997 F350 PSD and want to bring it down to factory height.

I appreciate the help.

Thank you in Advanced.

Allan.

I believe the diesel springs are heavier than the gasser springs. Too bad you aren't closer, I wouldn't mind having a 6" lift.
