Some squeaking from under the hood?

Just recently my truck has been letting out a short high pitched squeak as it starts and when im drivin. I think it might be something with one of my bels but im not sure. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'd start with the belt then look at the idler pulleys. There's three of, two smooth and one ribbed. I wound up replacing all three on my truck one at a time. Spray a little WD40 with the tube on the pully you suspect to be squeaking, if the sound goes away you found your culprit.

It could also be a tensioner,the belt dressing spray wil help determine that.l

My squeak was the belt, caused by coolant starting to leak from the pulley shaft bearing, then running inside the pulley. FoMoCo wanted $278 for water pump, NAPA guy I've done work with for years said their pumps are US-made haven't had any comebacks since this productline introduced couple years ago $149, so I'm trying that. That was back in Oct., happy so far.
