17* HPOP

Hey Ya'll!

I've finally started giving my obs some tlc after its been sitting for the past year.

Can you run a 17* hpop w/ stock sticks?? is any advantage to it or is it best to wait until I get bigger sticks??

also, I have surface rust on my frame but is that cause to get some por-15 or not??

thanks!

it will power stock sticks awesomely BUT 95s have a drain back feature that make it a pain in the rear to install a 17 on these trucks

i wouldnt worry about the rust.

Well there are a few ways to get around it. first off is sending your 1995 15* pump and the 17 to Joey at TE and he can swap guts to make it a bolt on. The other way is to mod the front cover to accept the 17 pump but then you are locked into the 1996 and up pumps and the 15 pump you pulled off is useless

I agree, send both pumps to Joey and let him swap the parts. He'll also modify things slightly to make the pump work a little better. I have a TE modded 17° in my truck running stock sticks. I noticed a bit better throttle response, but the pump can't really show its true colors with stock tuning.
I know of a strong 17° pump for sale right now, I PM'ed you the info.
