More or less. Mid 01 they got Powder metal rods instead of forged. Other than that its all bolt on stuff basically
Usually people find its cheaper to get another one than to rebuild. But thats all on what you are capable of a miss, white smoke, low on power |

I need to put a new clutch in my project. Is there any way to tell if the flywheel is dual mass before I pull the trans? I hate to tie up shop space waiting for parts. Thanks Carl

Not that I know of, you may be able to take the inspection plate off and see but that's the best you would get

How can you tell a dual mass flywheel from a regular flywheel?

it should be thicker and you should be able to move the move the dmf back and forth 1/4 in or so

The sm is solid chunk of steel and the dm has springs and crap and is in two pieces. Pull the bottom cover off the front of your trans and look up in the there with a light, then do what terry said.

Alliant power #AP0001 injector Oring kit
Is this a upgrade versus the original?
In the middle of installing new injector cups. And now replacing the orings but for the center section where there was a cushion ring and Oring now gets replaced by only the single red ring? Kit did come with a new cushion ring but can't see how that would possibly fit below this red one |

I am new here and had a question on my 1996.. its completely stock and i bought the banks performance turbo down pipe, it has a spot pre drilled for an egt sensor, seeing how easy it would be to put it there what wld be an acceptable temperature range? I dont feel comfortable drilling into the exhaust manifold and was curious, the downpipe seems like an easy install and so does the egt sensor.. was trying not to drill anything thanks in advance!

I have a 97 F250 7.3 2wd and i was looking for a lift for it. I see top gun customz has the skyjacker 4" and 6" kits that come with coil springs and lift blocks for the rear.
80-96 Ford F250-F350 2WD 6" Skyjacker Lift Kit My question is instead of buying the kit for $761, i found 6 inch skyjacker lift springs on jc whitney for $173 for the same truck, can i just buy these and put them in and buy the blocks and ubolts seperate or is there more needed to make the front end right then just the springs (top gunz kit comes with adjusted hinge brackets?)? It would be almost half the price if i could buy this seperate. Skyjacker Coil Springs - JCWhitney |
