died and wont start

while driving the truck started to bog out then regained and the died and will not start!! Code reader shows communication error.
Any Ideas?? please give recomendations.

first thing id do is get a new cam sensor

Sounds exactly like what you need. While cranking it over is there any exhaust? No then you need the CPS [cam positioning sensor].
It's easy,10mm wrench,,it's on the bottom front . Has one of those "clipped wire" so you'll need a little screwdriver or knife to release the "catch".

You can get them at NAPA or any good Auto store,besides Ford.
I keep a spare in my trucks tool box now too.

Thanks for the speedy response!!
I figured it out, it was the lift pump (fuel pump on top the motor)
I love my truck and the community surounding our Rigs.

That happened to my friend but it wasnt cps or any sensor in the motor he replaced them all. Instead of getting the rig looked at. I helped him out and the hpop was full of oil new fuel pump. Still no start. Finally we gave up and he took it and found out one injector was stuck open. It was just dumping oil out of the injector

I found a blown fuse that feeds the data port and and a
very weak lift pump (fuel pump).
Ole blue is back in action!!!
