ABS/brake light fuse?
So had a real COLD day. Little start up problem. But the brake and ABS light came on. Brakes were done last year,I hardly use them. So where is the fuse?
Are they the same fuse? I've looked and can't seem to find it.![]() Checked all fuses so must be something else? No code checker so.. Last edited by 95stroke; 12-01-2010 at 09:33 AM. |

Did you check fluid level and maybe the park brake assembly. These two can cause lamp to burn.Just an idea!

I would not think fuses, more like air in system.Just for grins have you tried disconnecting batteries to clear possible codes? The abs I think will give a code. You mention brakes were done but you hardly use them,How's that? The ABS inhibits rear brake lock up,possible air in rear. You could try bleeding rear wheel cylinders, not very expensive

Did your truck fall into that recent recall? Something about a brake pressure switch for the speed control system... I haven't had it done yet but I've been having some strange issues as well. Random lights, strange pedal feel and pulsation. All one time isolated events, not that worried about it. However, they wouldn't have a recall for nothing, right?

ok i know i have a 02 but mine has done the same thing. no problems have not had any lights. hard time starting yesterday got it starting this morning with the block heater. now when i turn the key over to cycle the glow plugs i hear all the normal clicking and then a fart like sound under driver battery where the abs module is and then the light comes on.

I am also having a strange brake + ABS light.
Took it to my local shop and they could not find the reason. They tried to read the flash codes, and nothing came up. The brake goes sorta soft, and pulsates like described above. Then other times I drive there is absolutely nothing going on with it, and no lights. Seems the lights come on more often when it is cold than anything. |
