New Style Valve Cover Harness on OBS Truck

I was just curious if anybody had heard of putting 2nd gen 7.3 (like my buddies 01) valve cover gaskets, internal harness, and external pigtails on a 1st gen 7.3 OBS Truck (My 96). I will be doing injector o-rings and glow plugs soon and thought if this was a chance to upgrade to the new style connector and internal harness I'd take it. I heard that toasty connections on a OBS glow plug harness are a common issue. The new style uses only one large connector instead of two smaller ones per valve cover. Any input is appreciated.

You could swap the parts over, but it would be a lot of monkeying around. If you can get the newer ones for cheap/free to replace yours if they are pooched go for it. If yours are fine, let them be. Even the newer connectors can experience meltdown.
