DB Starter Installation

Today I got my DB Electrical starter in the mail and decided to install it. I removed my old starter. I forgot that it already was an aftermarket starter. Some unknown brand but it even had a 0.75" spacer that went on before it. Who knows. Anywho, the starter I took off, the actual motor part of the starter was essentially inside the frame rail. The new DB starter I had to rotate down so the motor part is the lowest part and the vent tube is hanging essentially straight down. This put the 12v terminal for the starter up on top of the unit as well as the small wire that screws on too. It starts the truck no problem but this doesn't quite seem right to me. I couldn't get any other orientation to line up with bolt holes though. Any thoughts?
