Cruise Control
K on to the next fix it project the cruise and horn
95 psd f-250 My crusie does not work and the horn does not honk fuses are all good the horn does honk with the keyless entry but not via the steering wheel i did have the steering wheel apart once i replaced the bearings and i remember that there are three contact pins that ride along it and then from there i dont know. How do i test and troubleshoot these connections how does the switches work i do not understand how cruise control functions at all and have searched the web for answers and have come up with nothing so any help would be greatly appreciated I have searched around and found out there is a "clockspring in the steering wheel what this does i dont know or what it looks like? Thanks Chris |

no need for diag.....your clockspring is bad, or a connector did not get hooked up when you had the column apart. the clockspring is the round thing right under the steering wheel that the cruise switches and horn connector plug into. it is what allows a constant electrical connection while you turn the wheel.......nascar drivers have coiled wires outside the column...you have coiled wires inside the clockspring........once the steering wheel is off its a pretty simple repair.......Marc
