Winter grill cover, when? How cold?

I bought a grill cover for this winter. Because the truck runs so cold that sometimes I loose heat in the cab.
Right now, it's about 0-8° celcius here in the morning. I start the truck with the remote start about 10 minutes before leaving, and use the turbo timer in the remote start unit. It runs for 1 minute after I get out.

I noticed lil bit longer warm up time.
How cold it should be outside before I can safely install the cover ?
I will be towing a 20' race enclosed trailer with the car and tires inside for ice racing this winter. But wheater does get under -20°C sometimes. Saw -32°C in my car last winter.

you may have a thermostat stuck open. i know my PSD runs crazy cool in the winter. will be getting a cover as well. as far as the question on 'how cold. jsut keep an eye on your temp guage, or get a real one. youll have to judge from your usage. in my expirience ive never had a heat problem even pulling in the summer.

where did you get your grill cover?

Mine is a Fia. I installed the snaps when it was warmer out. It's not a perfect fit, but follow the grill's line nicely.
