Is it worth $10k
I would love to have a OBS, found one on my way to Wally world this evening and called.
1996 F250 2 wheel drive CC SB 196K Truck looks clean on the outside, no visible mods. Dash is cracked a little on passenger side, interior looks good but he had her locked up and I was looking through tinted windows. I didnt ask about the engine or tranny. $10k seemed a bit high to me but

def not worth it. my truck was listed for $8999 for a 97 4x4 offroad with 132k miles. absolutly no rust, bone stock with a spotless interior. i felt it was a good deal. its hard to find a super clean low miles stick shift 4x4 these days.
if i was you i would definetly take a pass on that truck...the price is a few thousand too high and its not even 4x4 |

That's what I was thinking especially down here in the Rio Grande Valley where everything is cheaper. I paid $7500 for my 99 ex cab and it is 4x4 with a lift and a few mods but has more miles. I know the OBS is a desirable truck but don't know the value.
Thanks for your reply. |

Just paid $2k for my 95 with 109k on the clock, but has a trans issue. Friend's 96 4x4 DRW 5sp was $4500 with bad paint and 200k miles.
Keep looking for a better deal. |

When I was looking for the truck I have now I traveled to Dallas a couple of times and even over to Houston. Currently I am in the Mcallen area but have no problem traveling for a good deal.

I got mine a year ago in Houston for $8300. 97 5spd 4x4 only mods were a toolbox, bedliner, flip up ball, 5th wheel racks (no 5th wheel though), and replacement rear bumper. It had 184k on the clock and the clutch and tires only had 10K on them(receipts were in the glovebox).

i paid $5500 for mine: 97 250 with 94K miles, manual trans and 4 wheel drive. spotless inside and out. granted, i got a killer deal on it from a private seller, i would have paid $10k for it.
