Block heater Question on a 97 powerstroke?

Can anyone tell me if there a block heater was a standard option on a 97 powerstroke. If so where is it located? Thanks

Should have been - Crawl under and look above the oil filter. There is probably a cord of some kind (on my '01 it's orange) - You'll have to trace it out from there to find the end plug. Mine was wire tied up behind the bumper just below the inside edge of my left headlight.

Looks just like the male end of an extension cord ,and the wire is similiar to house hold type .The block heater is next to the oil filter.

It was standard when dad ordered his 96 but his 97 didn't come with it. The dealer said ford didn't equip them in 97 for southern trucks
