Waterproofing
I am trying to see how hard or what all will be involved in waterproofing my 95 7.3L super duty the forged water. I have found a safari snorkel that will work on my truck. Any help would be nice.
Thanks |

I would seal all of the electrical connections well and figure out a way to seal the IDM and PCM. But on the IDM and PCM, if water does get in, how will it get out.

Why don't ya just buy a dam boat?

well if water gets up to the idm and such that would mean the fan was in water too and itll turn into a prop and fly right into the radiator... just a thought

Definitely relocate the IDM. It has a vent on the back of the housing. A dip in cold water would condense the air inside, and suck in water. You'd probably have to go to an electric fan, or either an air or electric fan clutch.
