Ok guys I went and looked at a truck today and have some comments. First off its a 97 F350 C/C LB SRW 4x4. The link is
1997 Ford F350 Powerstroke Diesel there <---. So the truck has 220k on it which doesnt bother me. But the interior definitely needs some love. It need the whole floor mat replaced which he has but I was wondering how hard it is to replace that? I assume its just take out the seats and put it in.
Next the dash panels are cracked. The ashtray is missing the sliding tracks. The 4x4 shifter needs a knob. The shifter is missing half of the handle part (including the overdrive button). The rear doors both need new window motors. So i know thats a lot but as far as pricing goes what would I be looking at and is anything super hard to fix?
The top side is he replaced a lot of parts. Ball joints, u joints, leaf spring shackles, new batteries, new alternator, etc etc.
The truck is rusted in some spots but it was a work truck so I'm going to sand all the rust and it get it painted if I do buy it.
The trucks engine pulled strong and the tranny shifted great however there was some crap around the P/S pump so Im thinking it was leaking at once point. And also there was some grudge by the oil pan. What could that be from? I know almost anything that leaks drips down that way.
One last thing is that the trucks headlights dont always go off when you push the switch in. Is that as simple as just replacing that little switch? Also the wiring for the clearance lights was ripped out where can I find it or how hard is it to do your self and can you even buy the OBS lights anymore?
I know this is a lot guys but Its a strong truck and needs some love and I dont mind fixing her up but dont want to dive into this and realize Im in over my head.
Edit: Oh big thing by the way. Hes selling the truck becasue he is moving. and Also went as low as 3700.
