my project

So I see this is the time of year where everyone seems to be doing projects I have a chevelle project that i need to put aside for my truck. SO hello everyone it's been awhile since I have been on here. Been really busy with the family and the job change now that I work at ford. a month ago I was hauling a load to when the truck lost power went to check my oil and since my oil change roughly1,000 miles ago there was nothing on the dipstick drained the oil and there may have been 1/2 quart where it all went i have no idea but i am tearing the motor apart. to see whats going on but I am going to fresh it up a little. I have main studs on order and will be ordering head studs soon I had griffin make me a raditor for my truck since mine is cracked. this will be a slow project as money is tight. so far I have left to pull the engine is motor mounts downpipe and bellhousing the front end is torn apart. I will post pics tonight but here is what i am doing.

Main studs
Head studss
D66 turbo
fluid dampner
rebuild engine
stage I or II Southbend clutch
looking at options for manual trans mine like to grind
shocks
b code rear spring
v code front springs
steering box
and last been wanting to add onc but a 6.0 intercooler
I am sure there is more but it will change as I go stay tuned

well here is an update shes out got some parts off i am still waiting on my radiator i got my main studs and awaiting head studs will be ordering a d66 turbo soon here are some pics

so my boost problem was on the piping to the turbo all the bolts were loose and i was missing on but of vibrated out over time there is soo all over the pipe and i was only hitting 12 psi i have discovered massive oil leaks in pan valve covers and front timing cover but the valley was still clean after i did and eletric fuel conversion and an adreline pump so that means i sealed up that area good well i will be tearing more apart into it today so i willl have more pics

ok so last night i got the valve train out and the heads off still don't see anything out of the ordinary but still could be a plugged oil gallery or just maybe the massive oil leaks i have founf so far. later today i am going to get the hp pump and resivor and the water pump and cover off

so went to the machine shop yesturday had the crank looked over the rods and the block I have a nice ridge on the bore so I am do for a bore so I am looking into upgrading the rings and pistons to mahle pistons and total seal rings using clevite bearings

Where have you been looking for a tranny? Also have you looked at ACL bearings? Just curious
