i was wondering,is this thing like a mt-2500 snap-on???? do you have to have a computer??? or is it a handheld device???

its a software package and usb connector. i am actually looking at one now, $350 at itp/sinister.

iirc the mt-2500 is jsut a code reader? AE is full blow reader and diagnostics. i really need one or find a local who has one.

AE requires a laptop.

no,the mt-2500 does do full diagnostic,its not just a code reader.it does buzz test,contribution,the works...there out dated.the only reason i want a new one is the snap-on truck quit updateding them in 2007,thats it....i need one that will read later models
