need help

cps is good. fuel pump was bad, changed it. new lines new tank(full of algae). ran a little two days ago. this morning nothing. new fuel filter and it started and idle for a few minutes. shut it off ate lunch now no start. check oil in hpop res. smelled and looked like diesel. how can i get it out of the res. i want to change oil and see if that helps. if this doesn't fix it i guess it will be towed to the shop
